I'm using an Interstate as well...I think it's the same model mentioned above. It is a direct replacement for Porsche battery, as the terminals and vent tube are in the proper place/orientation.

Bosch AGM H7/94R - order from Pep Boys online (should be a 20/25% discount) and pick up at local store.

Any H7 AGM battery will do. The specs are nearly identical and most likely made by the same company (Johnson Controls), so just look for the best price as long as it has a 3-yr warranty. Autozone and Advance Auto frequently have online coupons you can use.

I got the DI-HARD Gold as well. I was using Porsche batteries until my brother put a drill bit through my last battery lol when we were running the wiring for my head unit amp.

Back when Optima was the only AGM battery around, I would have agreed with you. But now, any group H7 AGM battery has better CCA and reserve capacity, plus anH7 just drops right in without any modifications, unlike an Optima.

I've had both - Red Top 34R and a Bosch AGM H7...interesting though that Bosch needed venting but the Red Top did not.

did not have any modifying issues, mine went right in. Po had installed longer hold down bolt and extra washers. i just flipped the retaining plastic block the opposite way, removed the washers and presto instant battery change. in Wyoming we dont get choices optima red top was it for AGM sealed battery's.

The Diehard Gold is great but I have to keep a trickle charger on it or else the battery will be dead in a week if the car isn't started.
