Keysinthepost

Has anyone in the US used keysinthepost.com? I've heard different stories on whether they can do keys for US cars. I only have one key and would like to at least get a Valet key in case I ever lose my remote key.

If their service doesn't work for US cars, is there another option? I contacted my local dealer in the Seattle area and they quoted me $600 for a new key! That is completely ridiculous!!!

Also... since I don't know anything about the Valet key, will it start the car?

Thanks

Hey there. I just ordered two keys from keysinthepost for my 2002 C4 Cab and I'm in Northern California. I just ordered the key metal part from them and the remote part from suncoast. It was really easy. I just took a picture of my existing key and uploaded that to my order. About 10 days later, the two keys showed up. I popped them into the remote parts that I got from suncoast and took them to Sonnen Porsche for programming. By the way, Sonnen Porsche is the best!! They actually programmed my keys for free and did some other stuff since I went in last Saturday and it was totally dead in there and the guy that did it was an amazing guy.

Also, their pricing for the programming was LESS than the local independent shops and I've recently discovered that their parts pricing is great too as they have an online store. (e.g. original water pump was about the same price as a Pelican parts Pierburg water pump). BTW, I have no affiliation with Sonnen Porsche. Just so stoked that they programmed my keys and other stuff for free!!

Anyways, now I have two extra keys. It would be awesome if we could get a flipkey style of fob for our cars.
