I'd say that depends on the grind of the cams. All the mods I've seen move the torque curve up in favor of HP gains on top. If these cams are ground to compliment those mods by filling in the lower end it would make for a more complete package and would improve drivability.

but this is all speculation..

so what you saying is that the sport cams, headers, mufflers, chip are good for 100 hp on a 3.4L? that sounds like a big strecth.. if so I will buy the cams since I have all the other work done. What else would you need besides the cams themselves?

considering the price of the cams, you could probably get a race shop to profile and alter your cams for more power than you would get from the FVD units. They would probably be specific to your car, as opposed to the FVD units which have to be designed with compromises in mind to fit a wider range of 3.4L motors.

whoppps i just re read what kevin posted. I thought he put down and Honest 398bhp not "38" whoops

well if the FVD dyno is 330 wheel... that would be a healthy jump,
but I have always seen a good set of cams good for 10-15hp(crank) on alot of european cars.

so if someone were to regrind the cams... what specs would they grind them to? does anyone have the FVD specs?
