Bi-Xenon Headlamp Washers

I'm relatively new to this Porsche thing...Picked up my new C2 only over a week ago and having fun.

Anyway, I was just starting to wash the C2 for the first time the other day and I thought I'd give the headlamp washers a try.

You really have to check this device out.....I thought I'd just see the domes rise due to water pressure and squirt a small stream of water across the face of the lenses - you know similar to what everyone has seen on other vehicles, and then have them do a pathetic attempt at cleaning bugs and dirt off the lenses.

Whoa...Not on a Porsche...First a motor electrically raises a tallish tower (looks and sounds like something out of Terminator) which the domes are attached to and then a super high pressure jet cleans the lenses very efficiently.

This really impressed me (from an engineering POV) and if you have not seen these in action find someone with Bi-Xenons and check them out...

I experienced the headlight washers in action a couple of weeks ago while driving. They are beautiful to behold.
Wouldn't expect anything less from Porsche.
Ciao

The car is new so I assume I will not have to replace a bulb in a hurry...but I may change out the standard Hi-Beam and Fog Lamp globes with some of the newer Philip's ('Blue Vision') type which claim 30% extra visible output for the same wattage.

Looks like the Headlight assembly slides out fairly easily so I may try this soon and then I will have a chance to check out the whole lens assembly...
