Just had a look at the listing...the seller is saying the wheels are in Tampa but that's bull ****, if you look at his selling history you'll see that he sold an M5 recently and had newport as his location. Coincidence, I think not!
My suggestion is call the cops asap.
Best of luck.

Dev911 Jan 17, 2006 03:38 PM

Or, find the wall they're against and the wheels are near...

Give him a call... (949)510-1681 it was posted in the M5 listing

I hope the cops jump in this, also Ebay should be alerted. I believe due to the cost of the wheels, this is a felony just like stealing a 15 year old honda.

If we are sure about this one....why not high bid so he MUST contact you when it sells if the Newport PD doesnt follow up fast enough......I would even try and do a pickup with cash.....So you get him and the wheels in the same place with the NBPD.....make the arrest, get your rims back.

Man, I want to see how this turns out.

Good sleuthing, Eric.

I shot the seller an email with great interest in the wheels and asked why would you get rid of these georgous wheels and is anything wrong with them.
His reply was:
"Thanks for your interest...

This set is Like New and absolutely Nothing Wrong... I am selling it because I am trading my vehicle back to the dealer on the 1/18 and will Not have any use for them on my new cayene."

Funny...he is trading in a 2005 996 C2. There was no 996 C2 in 2005, plus a C2 would not fit 19x11.5 wheels on the rear.....

Nail that B@stard !!!!!!

One good idea is to ask him if you can pick-up the wheels and then bring the cops with you.
