i just came from the BMW world and there are some E9x carbon fiber panels that can be bolted into place of the sunroof.
They also fit(fit-ish that is) the E82.
Just wondering if anything like that is available for the 996.
There are and I will be working on something this spring, maybe not carbon but a complete new roof skin

Your car looks great. Who is doing your roof replacement?

Any idea on what it weighs in at now versus when you started?

How much work was it to fix sunroof panel and remove the motor gubbins? DIY-able?
Also, how much louder is the interior now? At low speeds and high speeds?

it is a lot of work. The interior is pretty loud but not too bad, my wife doesn’t mind it so that’s a good idea. I did a muffler delete and sport manifolds as well

lol sorry for the late reply! I actually removed all the guts and everything from the metal panel, then I held it in place with some voodoo and then I siliconed it in place from the inside of the car. Hold like a champ. Just temporary until I get around to having the skin replaced
