Hardtop Time
Hardtop Time
This is my first winter with the Porsche, and now that most of the days here in Texas are a tad bit too chilly to keep the top down I have decided to put the hardtop on this weekend. I plan on giving the car a fresh wash before lowering the softtop (after it dries of course). Any suggestions for keeping the top in perfect shape, (i.e. no darkening of the plastic window, etc)?
I have been told to place towels between the folds of the top and the window to keep it in good shape, but would like to hear any other thoughts/suggestions.
Thanks,
-TS

clean the rear window in and out with that plastic window cleaner stuff, then use a soft 100% cotton towel to rest between the window folds...
As you put the hartop on, angle it so the front (along the window) is in place first, then lower the back slowly until the pins are in the sockets...I always forget and put the back in first...
Oh, and wash the inside of the H/T window before you put it on, its a tight squeeze other wise...
