Question regarding potential deal on 40th Anniversary Ed.

Do you guys think that this is a good deal for a 40th Anniversay with 15,000 miles.

Finance for $965 per month w/ zero down for 84 months?

It is in excellent condition with a lot of options. (Painted seat-backs and Nav)

I would probably sell the car after 3-4 years, but I wouldn't want to be upside down on it. What do you guys think?

That is a really long term. I am not sure, but I think you could do better than that payment. Shop around. I would assume that the 40th edition would depreciate a lot in the next 3-4 years.

40th's can be had in the 60's. This is not a good deal.

Wow 965 per month for 84 months... With no money down...On such a long term you WILL be under water for a long time....

FYI: If you don't have the money down, you may not be able to afford repairs or general maintenance.

If you are dead stuck on a Carrera, why not just lease a new 997 C2. You should be able to get one for about 70-80k and it's new so a lease should be around the same monthly payment and it's going to be covered under warranty for the term of the lease.

Never, ever buy a car with no money down... Lease with Gap Insurance is a different story, but if anything happens to the owned car you will be so underwater for so long it's insane...

You will be upside down from day one. Think about it - with finance charges, you'll be paying $85k for a car that is worth about $65k in today's dollars. This is a crappy deal all around.

BTW - never lease a used car anyway. You'll always lose.

Don't forget that credit unions generally give better rates too.
