Alternative to Champion Service in S Fl?
Alternative to Champion Service in S Fl?
Now that my car is out of warrantee, I’m looking for an alternative to Champion Motors anywhere near Fort Lauderdale. Anyone have a recommendation?
Will do. My last car was a Benz and I used to take it to this place in Fort Myers called Better Cars when I lived on the other side. They were awesome, honest, German speaking mechanics that charged at least 30% less than the dealer. The shop was spotless, well run, they had every part I ever needed and always tried their best to save me money. If we could find a Porsche version of Better Cars in North Miami/Fort Lauderdale we'd be having things.
I've been to Champion a couple of times and I just get bad vibes from them. It's like I can feel the siphon hose locking in on my wallet's coordinates and standing by for the order to suck.

John,
Give Bob Varella a call at Foreign Affairs in Pompano Bch. He's just east of the Turnpike on Sample Rd., just one exit away from Champion.
He has a senior mechanic who was trained at Porsche Germany.
My brother ('79 SC& Boxster S) & I (996) have used Bob since the mid-eighties....
