Broken Bracket on CROSS JIC Magic Coilover System

Hi:
Has anyone had any experience with the JIC coilover shocks? I have a broken bracket on the left rear coilover which attaches to the rear stabilizer bar. I have tried to contact JIC (I found a website and Facebook page which was active January of this year) with emails but I am not getting any responses. I was hoping I could order a new bracket and replace it. Looking at the broken bracket it appears I may be able to have it welded up. My question is: if I unbolt the eyelet at the bottom on the shock to get the bracket off, will I release the gas contained in the shock? Thanks for any help I can get.
