MTBR is infamous around these parts
FVD actually buys A LOT of their body kit products directly from RUF, Gemballa, Strosek, etc. and then turns around and sells them under their own name.

They claim they have their stuff made for them by the same factories that manufacture the products for RUF, Gemballa, Stosek, etc., however that is not the case.

A couple stupid questions on the spoiler pic if I might..........is that wing blocking view of the 3rd brake light, yet has no light of it's own?........also, where is the engine getting its air (intake & cooling)......all I see is the 2 small side inlets.

Still I don't have a straight answer yet on the wing. Called FVD and the guy said it was FVD manufactured. I think it is the Strosek wing. Evan if you can tell me the difinative on this, I would be grateful.

FVD Germany buys their parts from the brand names. They then ship these parts to FVD USA.

FVD will tell you all of their stuff is manufactured by them or for them, when in fact they are just reselling brand name products.

FVD is notorious for knocking off other tuners parts, or copying their ecu upgrades, exhausts, etc. Just ask anyone who has worked there OR anyone who knows what really goes on.

FVD labels everything as fornt secton, lip, bumper, wahtever on their website but if you call them up and specifically ask them then they will tell you that they just sell the parts and dont manufacture them. I wouldnt go through FVD for strosek, deal with them directly and you will get a better price. A turbo front bumper costs $1400 from strosek including shiping....FVD wants close to 1900 for it.

Evan- On FVD's site they call the strosek front bumper a 'Front Sektion' it doesnt say Strosek anywhere on there. look at their online catalog. the strosek car is even labelled as FVD. bottmline, dan has a point and there is proof on FVD's website too. A RUF rear spoiler is not called read spoiler GT, a Gemballa hood isnt called Front Hood with Air Inlet, and the strosek bumper isnt called frontsektion. Check the facts out straight before being biased.

FYI - their online catalogue is outdated...Get a hardcopy of their newest one and you will see that they do say Gemballa, Strosek, etc...They even sell the Brembo BBK as "Brembo" whereas many tuners like Sportec and Gemballa relabel these as their own and claim 'cutom built by Brembo to their specs'.....

In addition, I think the roof spoiler for the 996 sold by Strosek, Techart and even Performance products is all made by the same company....All the big catalogue companies sell other people's products and its normal. Performance products for example sells Lorinser stuff for Mercs

thats not true. their online catalog has recently been updated and always gets updated with new items. They are labelled as products from FVD though and not from the real manufacturers.

I believe this is because they have the right to these products from the manufacture just as Gemballa, Techart, and RUF do... Again, I am not completely sure of this, but I believe this is the case....otherwise why wouldn't all these companies be sueing them???
Could be wrong...wouldn't be the first time...

The problem is that your knowledge about FVD is VERY limited, however you take a firm stance in the false statements you make.

Your facts are wrong, plain and simple. You are misleading others when you say things like..."I know for a fact."

You cannot correct something that is already correct. Everything I have said is correct b/c the information was received directly from the source.

Evan,

You are obviously not understanding my posts. FVD doesn't need the right since they are buying them directly from the brand names. They are NOT buying them from any factory or any of that non sense.
