CTEK Charging port?

New 2001 911 owner, so please bear with me if this is obvious.
Is this the correct way to hook up a CTEK charging port? The black lead will be connected to the frame.

Thanks guys!

Did your charger come with a cigarette lighter plug? If so, you can just plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet which is always live. That's what I do with my Porsche battery maintainer.

Old thread but someone might need this. The black lead should connect to a clean, unpainted ground point on the frame (e.g., a bolt or stud) with a ring terminal for a secure connection. The red lead should go to the positive terminal, likely via the port’s positive lug, ensuring it’s fused to protect the battery.
