Talking Getting a 2000 996 cab :)

My dad is giving me his 2000 996 cab.Triple black,39k miles, 18'' sport classics. I'll be putting fabspeed maxflo and B&M ssk on the car within the next month. I have a few questions...

... one is, can I put on aero side rocker panels without having them break the height line of the stock (non-aero) front and rear bumpers?

I'm really excited!!!! Thanks

Joe

i'm sure u could, as many '02's have just side skirts. I decided to update the front bumper with the skirts and skipped the rear.

Nice, gotta love a dad like yours. You must have done something right.

Get the MK2 side skirts. They look better than MK1.

On a pre-face lift model, I would upgrade the front bumper first. It'll not only look good but give you better aerodynamics. Plus, if the current bumper has any chips/scratches, it's a nice enhancement.

here's a pic of the front with new aero bumper...i must admit the car looks so much better with the front bumper/skirts. i also installed the front splitter under the bumper...easy $60 option!

Thanks guys! As far as the rocker panels go, I think that will be my first thing. The bumper might come after that as the current one on the car has not only a good amount of road rash, but was hit slightly so there is a little bit of irregularity on the right middle.

What about painting the center console black, and doing those "sport seat" side bolster inserts? The last thing I want to do it make the car a hodge-podged porsche; rather I want to do some tasteful upgrades. Thanks again

Joe

Most definately! But it's not he's sacrificing a lot... it will be replaced with either a 996tt w/ AWE mods to follow or a 360 coupe.

Also, is there any way to get an Ipod to work in it?

I'm not sure how to make a new album for just the Porsche, so you'll have to deal...

Jammy, which parts are those on your front bumper? OEM or Aftermarket?
