Fabspeed 996 Cold Air Kit

Looking into the Fabspeed 996 Cold Air Kit. Has anyone used one of these before? Is it worth the investment and time? Any benefits? Anyone interested in trying to set up a group buy?

Thanks,
Joe

try this instead which is better documented re: performance increase:

EVO 996 Stage 1: 328 HP & 285 TQ

The answer to your quest for more power is here. Evolution Motorsports in conjunction with Garrett Lim of GIAC has developed a potent Stage 1 power package for your 1999-2001 3.4L 996 (2002-2003 3.6L coming soon). We have spent many hours on the dyno tuning the computer to increase the power output while maintaining factory smooth drivability and reliability while adding tremendous power. Our HighFlow air induction system and ECU calibration yields a power and torque gain in excess of 25 HP and 20 TQ at the wheels!!!. This type of power upgrade has been nonexistent in the marketplace until now.

EVO Stage 1 Upgrade: $1590
EVO High Flow Fresh Air Induction System & Custom Tuned Proprietary GIAC Computer Upgrade

More power and torque throughout the rev range

Excellent intake sound without any annoying resonance (like some sport exhausts

No other upgrade components are necessary

Works with OEM exhaust

91 octane and extreme climates safe

Stock Baseline: Peak Wheel Power: 248.8 RWHP (300 HP at the flywheel = 17% drivetrain loss)
EVO Stage 1: Peak Wheel Power: 272.4 RWHP (328 HP at the flywheel)
Max Wheel Power Gain: 26 HP @ 7000 RPM's

Dyno Testing the EVO Stage 1 996 @ 112 ° with 91 octane Fuel

Stock Baseline: Peak Wheel Torque: 218.5 RWTQ (265 TQ at the flywheel = 17% drivetrain loss)
EVO Stage 1: Peak Wheel Torque: 236.5 RWTQ (285 TQ at the flywheel)
Max Wheel Torque Gain: 20 TQ @ 4750 RPM's
