Wheel center cap removal question

Is it possible to swap them while the wheels are still on the car, or do I have to take the wheels off and push them out the back.

TIA.

There is a tool that removes them when the wheels are on the car, I have one of them and might have an extra one, I have to check.

1. Unravel a paper clip and bend the end to form an "L" shape.
2. Insert the end into one of the "holes" in the cap (there are 2 holes/cap).
3. Pull. The cap should come right out.

And if your cap is on too tight for the bent paper clips , just insert a small allen wrench in each hole and pull with pliers . A bent wire clothes hanger works , too. Things you learn after 20 years of Porsche ownership.
