actually for me it was the other way around,

back in 1996 my brother wanted to buy a 993 but, due to his upcoming wedding he decided on buying the newly redesigned mbz e-class.

2000-2001 rolls around he "convinces" me in selling my 1998 mbz clk320, and for me to buy a 996, which i happily agree lol , great choice in the change in automobiles i would never have thought in my life that i would own a 911

when the car arrives in 01 (but technically an 02 996 with the facelift) he borrows my car for 2-3 weeks a month after i take delivery of it..

and then proceeds to buy one himseff on october of 2002 he buys an 02 or 03 996 (cant really remember) lol, saying he had to have one after driving my car and borrowing it more than a couple of times.. lol...

so he actually convinced me to get one so that he can get one himself lol

now my wife wants to get a cayenne, which i want too.. but we have to see we still got about 4 more years of pymts on the audi still.

 

after i got my 4S, the horror began...

6 months after mine.. my friend Ted bought his 2000 Aero Coupe
He has since sold it due to getting engaged


Next was my Uncle that needed a spare car while in LA...
Currently for sale.. drove it 2K miles in 2 years..


Shortly after that my other friend Dewayne bought his 02 Cab.


Then my last buddy was waiting for the right one.. and we found it...
He has since added the same TT bumper, and has a set of Chrome Techarts on order with Matt..



Oh I almost forgot... My Sweety's 01 Boxster....





Then I purchased my 2nd Porsche..



Oh by the way every single 996 & the Boxster including mine, was purchased from e-bay!!!! And they all came from Texas!!!
accept Boxster was from Arizona..

Needless to say my friends say that I am a expensive friend to have

It's been all me getting my cars, but my wife has been very very supportive almost talking me into it at times.

We almost bought a '99 F355 Spider in Atlanta a couple of years ago because of her. hehe. I was so tempted, but managed to 'just say no.' When she said, "Honey, we can afford it right, so why not just get it?" It was like pushing a Gin and Tonic in front of Ted Kennedy. Luckily I resisted. I think I would have regretted that purchase. However, when I wanted to get the Turbo, she was great with that again. I'm so lucky!
