I just got my car back from the mechanic and they filled my car with 5w-30, is this OK? It is Castrol Syntec 5W-30, should I drain it? Should I have brought my own Mobil 1 0W-40 oil to the shop w/ me? Help, will I destroy my engine?

You should have the shop change it at his cost since it's not an approved weight.
