Stress relief?
Hearing about the roads on the left coast almost makes wish I lived there.
Overall I don't feel as bad about driving in MD after reading about NY - I guess everything is relative.

stress relief...untill some ahol cop pulls you over when you were just overtaking another car...and clocks you at peek at 74mph!! where you allowed to go only 50mph....the ahol!!! because right after I passed the other car I went back to 57mhp....hope I can fight this in court..because a speeding ticket is okay when you are really speeding...not overtaking and going right back.....
BUT it is great cruising down the PCH in SOCAL..did it today...top down and enjoying the views (beautiful houses and ocean views)...and let's not forget all the exotics on the road.....on an average day in the Newport/Laguna beach area...you will for sure see about 5 Ferrari's (brandnew ones) a couple of aston martins, a maybach, and a BOATLOAD of 996/997's and most of them turbo's.

yeah it's funny people have this funny misconception that driving in SoCal -- LA especially -- is impossible due to traffic.
Well let me tell you as someone who grew up in the Bay Area (Marin/SF) and has now lived in SoCal for 8 yrs (7 yrs in LA) that honestly, I have FAR more traffic problems here than I usually have in LA. The reason is no mystery though: there's really one or two main roads to get you from A-B up here, whereas LA has MANY MANY roads you can use.
So even if there IS a lot of traffic in LA, chances are you can find at least several alternate less busy roads. Not so in Marin/SF.
Moreover, let's face it, NorCal really doesn't have any places to just CRUISE the way LA has. Example: there is NO norcal equivalent to Wilshire Blvd, Sunset Blvd, Sepulveda, or PCH. There just isn't.
Can you tell I miss LA?!
