Hey All

I am interested in getting the Upsolute Chip for my 01 C4. I went on their website and they claim 22hp. Coming from Turbo owners, the chip is well worth it. I was curious if any of you would put this chip in your car? is it safe? Is the HP gain realistic?

I dont htink those HP gains are realistic on a NA 996 especially without any other mods IMHO...

 

Compare to the very entensive mod from the factory power kit for only 25 additional ponnies for the NA M96 3.6 engine, this sounds too good to be true. The Turbos are known to be very mod friendly but unfortunitely the M96 engine is not.

 

I can understand the large gains on the TT as you turn up the boost, with increased airflow & exhaust. With the NA engine I don't see how you can get that kind of gain on an 11:1 compression engine, without some more mods (CAI, headers, exhaust). I find this claim hard to believe, maybe closer to 10-12 hp might be more realistic.
