Well I did get word that she is in Ft. Worth and the transport truck will leave at 4am on Monday. So I have my camera in hand and will post pics as soon at the transport rolls up to my office!!
I am always on 1604...I live in Canyon Springs. Would your car happen to have been at Prestige Performance last week? A white 99 996 C4S was there getting some work done to it.

I have a white 99 C2 Aero. I usually send my car to Texas Porsche on Fredericksburg for work.

Welcome aboard all! Pics are an expectation and you will be flamed mercilessly until they are provided! In lieu of pictures of the car, pictures of your wife when she finds out are considered a reasonable facsimile. Enjoy, and welcome to the sickness which has no cure.

First, I think your car looks AWESOME! I also have a MY99 996 and am thinking of installing an aero kit. It looks like yours has the MKII aero kit, which I actually prefer the look of. But I thought only MKI aero kits would fit on the '99-01 pre-facelift 996. Can anyone comment on this? If it's possible to put the MKII aero on a '99 (w/o changing the fenders and headlights) I would love to know where I could get it!

Actually he has the MKI kit on the car, the big give away is the "taco wing". The MKII requires a bumper which can only be fitted by changing headlamps with means changing fenders, trays, mounting hardware, harnesses, etc. etc.

MKII has flat-deck wing.......

You can purchase an after-market front bumper which looks like the Aero II kit but will fit your headlamps. You then can use all the other pieces since there is no change on the rockers and wing when it comes to fitment.

Take care,

-Eli

I believe the side skirts on a MkII are squared off whereas the MkI is more rounded on the ends. My car has the factory kit.

Porsche-t,

You're right...the MKII side skirts are much sharper. The front bumper is different too - difficult to describe the differences. But I like it!
