Clutch replacement - cost and options

I need a new clutch. For a NA 996, should I install a certain type of aftermarket clutch that's better than stock? Anything else while I'm at it?

What's the best deal I can expect to pay for parts and labor?

PM me if you don't want to post prices. Thanks all.

I just did mine....Got the clutch kit for $430 and i did the RMS, IMS, casebolts, yatta yatta at the same time...

Do you know if your seal is leaking or ever been updated?

Factory clutch should be good enough. You might want to think about a LTW flywheel. Evo makes a combo package also...

$430 is what suncoast sells the kit for. That is probably the cheapest you will find it unless you buy a non-oem sachs...Labor is book time 5.4 hours. So whatever you dealer charges, times that, plus tax, and shop fees...

Thanks Fabryce. I'm in LA. Would you recommend replacing it with something other than a Sach's clutch? What's the practical, real-world difference or benefit with a "sport" or "lightwheel flywheel" set up. I have a NA 996. What are the parts costs for these set ups?

Ive got a car in the shop right now with our lightweight flywheel and stock clucth set up - The lightweight flywheel does help engine response a lot. Some cars experiance some trans - main shaft noise when in nuetral - clutch not engaged at idle...

Call me if you would like and we can discuss some options..
