My keyed paint...questions

The scratch is about 12 inches long. It starts at the passenger headlight and goes up over the fender.
1. Do you think those mobile paint guys would be able to fix this? I guess the dealers use them. Any one with experience with them? Would you use them again?

Any other ideas except for a body shop?

I think it depends on how deep. I had Dr. Dent out to get rid of a scatch from the 8 yr olds bike handles on the Mercedes. He worked his magic and I couldn't see where the scratch had been. The Mercedes is Artic Silver - I don't know if the color matters.

Good luck

Don't use a mobile paint guy for your repair. I own an automotive reconditioning business and speak from experience, you need a paint booth and proper curing time to do a good job. If you have one of these guys do it you will be left with trash in the paint and a very poor quality finish. I don't care how good the guy says he is go to a good body shop. TRUST ME!!!

On a scratch that long, I agree with CAPTLST. If it where smaller the mobile guy would do fine, but larger areas are a lot tougher to do. Go to the body shop.
