so if i'm hitting 5psi exactly at redline, i'm within current specs for the kit then?

i'm using the Suncoast Motorsports headers. they're a little loud and they really change the tone of the exhaust, but i made a dyno proven 25ish rwhp at around 4K and 10ishrwhp on top. i have a thread on here somewhere that has the dyno charts. i actually went and dyno'd it at 9am. drove down the street for a block. had the headers installed. came back two hours later (ish) and dyno'd it again. no time for the ECU to reprogram, if that is even necessary with headers (which i suspect it's not). pretty impressive results for a bolt on.

i'm using the cargraphic export mufflers. can't say enough good things about those mufflers. they sound great. the tone really changed a bunch with the header combo though. if you're looking for just sound, then the cargraphics is the way to go. i've heard them all and they're my favorite. nice combo of pitch and volume. just loud enough. the headers make the pitch a lot higher and the volume a little louder.

so headers do change the sound!! I read they didn't.....now I found one more mod!!!! Thanks!!

remember, DDog has a supercharger. i had put headers on my 996 BEFORE the SC and there was no difference in sound. the SC amplifies any subtle changes there are in an NA system.

what kind of headers are you running?

i listened to Suncoast's NA 996 demo car with the same headers before i purchased them and it sounds like just mine does now. loud
