Porschedog that sucks! Why is your car having all these problems? I hope my little stupid problems with the car dont turn into larger ones. I do actually plan on buying an extended warranty. My dad knows a company that you can purchase after market extended warrantys that will cover up to 100k miles and 5 years or something. Im sure it will be pricy but well worth the money for the long run. I'll be posting pictures tomorrow! I just got home from work and I'm too dead tired to be resizing pictures to post. lol. My car seems to run well though. Except the breaks squeak real loud every once in awhile. But I never get a low break light or anything. What could cause the breaks to randomly squeak really loud when Im slowing down? Sounds like i can use new break pads too or something. But I figured the computer on the car would say something.

Luckily, my problems so far have just been annoyances as oopposed to real issues. But it does suck that the dealer obvioulsy din't bother to really do any kind of a thorough pre-CPO inspection. What's worse is the "oh well" attitude. But the car runs like a charm now and I love it, so I'll put up with the petty stuff.

Enjoy your car ans trust the car's DME to keep it from hurting itself. You'll know if something is wrong, with bells and icon lights going off.

Brakes

Common on a 996. Plenty of threads on it. Some say back up fast and break hard to remove glaze. Others say break hard from 100 mph. Got the say problem on my left rear...

Have to tried Walter's Porsche in Riverside for warranty work (if you have any left). I also have used an indy shop, Precision Motion also in Riverside. 951- 784-0425, with whom I am very satisfied. If you do call them ask for Don Kravig and tell Don Doctor Larry Kauffman sent you (black GT3). It make take a period of time to sort out the minor problems but once done you will fall in love with the car.

Um, pics?

Also, you will get a quick horn honk if "double-click" the lock button. This disables the motion sensor. (This happens to me sometimes if I don't hear the locks engaging and get a little anxious.)
