Installing Gemballa exhaust on my 996 C4.

Well, step one(taking off stock exhaust) is finished. Boy was this process A LOT harder than i thought it would be. All the rust etc from all the years really takes its toll on the nuts and bolt and when you try to take them off is no picnic to say the least. The gemballa exhaust and gemballa tips will go on tomorrow. pics in next post.

Done!

Ok, so the gemballa exhaust is on the car now after finally getting the tips perfectly symetrical on both sides(this was the hardest part). Upon starting it up, i noticed right away the deeper and throatier tone that came just from idle. this put an immediate smile on my face. then reving the car just put a smile from corner to corner. All i can say is WOW! I was just speachless at how much of an improvement was made jsut from the exhaust in terms of tone! and i like the way 911s sound stock too! anyway, my immediate impressions on driving it were great. throatier and deeper tone at idle as i stated, but deeper and throatier up to around the 4K rpm range. then the exhaust sings and the harmony and symphony of the flat-6 comes in and it is amazing. every chance i got(and i was just in town mind you) i was flooring it. its obvious the ECU needs to adjust tho because when I push WOT the car kinda jolts and then pushes, is this normal? i figure the ECU just needs to adjust to lower back pressure and will smooth out after a hundred or so miles. overall, great decision i made in doing this. the install wasnt that bad considering id never done it before. def a must. i think i have mod fever because im already thinking of adding headers.

Ok thanks, but now im noticing this. any gear im in or any RPM im at, when i punch the car even moderately, the rpms will rise then drop a little bit then begin to rise again. now have you or anyone experienced this? what could be the cause of the problem? is it serious to have checked out by a shop?
