Trouble shifting into second gear
I recently purchased a 2000 cabrio with 35k miles and I noticed that it is particularly difficult to shift into 2nd gear. Is this a common problem? Is there an easy fix?
With the windows down, you can hear a hard click when I'm shifting into second. This problem only occurs when the car is moving. When the car is stopped, the problem doesn't exist.

Not a common problem that I am aware of. I would take a visual of the transmission shift levers on the side of the box to see if there is anything obvious out of wack. Check cables for wear or kinks. Is there a short shifter kit installed in the car? Check the shifter linkage by removing console. Last resort.....change fluid.
