The other day, I manually checked the oil level in my car and it showed it was low. I drove over to the dealer and bought some oil to avoid a 216.00 dollar oil change like last time. I filled up the car drove for a bit. Parked overnight and in the morning I came home for a minute and ran in the garage and noticed a large oil puddle on the ground. I then cleaned up the spot from the floor. It has yet to leak at all since then. What do you think? Car is under warranty so I think i will have it looked at....

 

If you did not overfill or spill then that is unusual but you still may have a problem. You didn't say how much oil (2 inch circle, 6 inch, or 2 feet). Also the location under the car is important if you can't see on the engine where it came from then look to see if it's on the drivers side, passenger side or in the middle of the engine where it meets the transmission (RMS).

 

Loren, thanks for the quick response. The oil is just about dead center, and I would say the puddle was about the size of a compact disc. What do you think???
