anyone living in NYC?

living in the city is pissing me off.

anyone know of a good self parking lot in downtown NYC? Right now the only close one i found was at 23rd and FDR.

Also anyone know of a good hand car wash or touchless carwash? I refuse to take it to a normal carwash but i seem to have no luck.

Where do you guys park/wash your car? any trouble?

Any help thanks.

How far downtown NYC? There is a underground garage behind the 55 water Street building.

I self park my car indoors at Pier 40....Houston and West Street. There is both indoor and outdoor self parking, and it is the least expensive place I've found. Only problem I've had with the place is that when it rains alot or snow melts the ceiling leaks...so as long as you have a waterproof cover you should be fine. There are tons of p-cars, ferrari's, rolls royces, etc.
As far as hand wash, technik1 is pretty good. 29th on the west side. 212 594 5353. The owners name is Gus. Very thorough, very careful. Can't remember for sure but I think a wash is like ~$30.

hey guys, thanks for the replies.

im actually at 23rd and 5th. The garage i park at charges $375 a month so i might consider parking further away. I don't get to use the car in the city a lot anyways.

anyone know of any closer self-park lots?

the technik1 is very close so i will check it out. i am used to living in a place where i wash my car and living in a city with valet parking doesn't allow me to do so.

thanks again for your help!

I pay $233/mo for an indoor self-park spot. I put the cover on the car and walk away with the keys. The garage is about a 7 minute walk from my apartment.
You might consider talking to the manager of some of places in your area. Sometimes they work out under the counter deals...

damn thats a good deal. too bad i live so far away.

turns out the garage at 23rd and fdr has a 6 month waiting list!

i found another one at 26 and fdr, water side plaza garage for $250. its around 1.2 miles from my place so it will take 20 minutes to walk.

damn im wondering if its worth it.

i hate valet parking.
