My salesman is thinking that the HI FI option #490 is not available with the PCM option #P16. When I configure it, it does not conflict. Does anyone know for sure? Does anyone have it in an 04? Thanks

i do not believe this is correct... you should have no problem ordering whatever stereo you want...independent of PSM

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that there are several versions of the CDR23 depending on which sound option you get. Some versions have amplification and some do not. I know the Bose option has an external amplifier and I thought the HiFi used internal (to the head unit) amplification. The order guides don't show a conflict, but maybe the PCM2 needs the external amplifier that you get with Bose.

Does any of that make sense?

actually if you go to the PCNA website it tells you that ALL audio systems (BOSE, Hi-FI and stock) are compatible with the PCM system. I hope this is correct information because I ordered with the Hi-Fi...
