Hi guys, I went to Rallye Motors in Roslyn NY today and saw imho the most beautiful car ever. They had a Mercedes SLR. All I can say is gorgeous. Had signs on it saying DO NOT TOUCH. The story is it isn't for sale. The owner had died and his wife bought it for $2 million. If you live in NY, definitely check it out!!!

 

That is SLR #01 it was auctioned of at Christy's a couple of months ago I think they will eventually flip it for even more $ to some sucker that wants to be the first It is a nice car though

 

I personally dont like the SLR that much...some of the styling is wierd (like the rear spoiler, exhaust out of sides and front fenders...).
For its price tag Id rather get a CGT....
Funny thing is that the headquarters where Mclaren is now in Surrey in the UK is within walking distance from our house there!!

 

IMHO, one of the ugliest sports cars designed. The hood must be 9 feet long - an air brake that deploys behind the rear window so you can't see if anyone's going to plow into you when you're breaking? In terms of beauty, it doesn't hold a candle to the Carrera GT...
