Have you ever been to a street race? You see heaps of crap that can do a 1/4 mile close to dragster times. I saw someone who had a beat up caprice classic station wagon with a vette ZR-1 engine. From a distance, it looked like some kid took mom's old car a put nice wheels on it, total sleeper. But he could pretty much take anyone. You can modify pretty much any car to get huge performance gains, even our pcars. But at the end of the day, you are driving one of the finest high performance sports cars ever made, and they are not.

This is what I am looking for !
Yes, a dream since my childhood and now come true.
What a wonderful world !

Another point...

How many people growing up have said... WOW, someday I'm going to own a Subaru or Mitsubishi!

I think, WOW, someday I'm going to own a Porsche! just fits better, right?

I like my Porsche, but if I had extra money laying around I'd buy a Mitsubishi Evo.

Hey now, I have less headaches with my turbo than with my beautiful women. In the long run, the car costs me less too.

Kirb, I test drove an Evo this past August, a freind was considering to buy, The sales man let me drive the sh*t out of it and it was great. The car really has spunk, I tested cornering, braking, and speeds in excess of 100mph and everything worked together beautifuly A lot of bang for the buck!

I switched to a 996C2 from having a 500+ hp turbo Supra. I do not miss all the attention from ricer school kids and wanna be gangstas drooling over my Supra. Sure it's 200hp less, but I enjoy the 996 as my daily driver vehicle so much more. If you want to feel like you've 'arrived', then you can't beat a 911.

I could not agree with you more regarding the type of attention a Supra gets... It is extremely unfortunate, but I get more attention from teenage boys than anything else - Laugh!
