What is a good aftermarket seat...

5 or six point is required in many track events (that I attend anyway)......proper routing that sub belt(s) is prefered.
I've had good luck with sparco. they even offer carbon buckets.
if you want a bucket seat (non adjustable) look at the pro2000, evo (different sized evo seats), and if you have the cash the S-Light.
also look at omp.
911 are a funny shape inside, so make sure the seat you get isn't too wide to fit in there.
I know this because we did a set of sparco milanos in a 996tt and it a lot of modifcation to make them fit correctly where the customer could still adjust the seat. after that they fit great and they look great as well.

Input is appreciated but...."making sure the seat you get isn't too wide to fit in there"....really doesn't help me.
OK.....after I buy a few seats and try to get em to mount and fit......I'll report back.

.If you guys want a car that's really problematic to fit seats in, try fitting sport seats into an RX-7
I suggest you sit in the seat for a bit before you make a decision. I sat in pretty much every recaro, bride, sparco, cobra, and I didn't like the majority of them and knew from 5 mins of sitting that I could not sit there for extended periods of time. I know you are in SoCal, sparco is in Irvine. Prodrive is also down the street from them.

I have the cobra milano... they are from sube sports in huntington beach I think... CH has a point, you should sit in them and see how they are... I got the cobra because someone was selling them here (don relentless), have carbon fiber backs, and they have the ability to recline, which on longer trips, being able to adust the seat forward and back a little helps a lot.
Check out the status adjustable seat... nice and comfy.. the fixed backs are not the most comfortable after a drive..the high thigh support can kill your legs since you have very very little movement. also they get to be a pain to get in and out of on a regular basis... if it's a track car it's never a big deal
