Brake Pads for the Street

I don't track my car, and the driving here in south Florida is pretty boring. I need to change pads soon as want to know what pads you guys like for daily driving. I'm most interested in stopping, naturally, but also no noise and as little dust as possible. How are ceramic pads?
Thanks!!

i'd go stock, these are the best for all situations. Dont like all the break dust but they are great for a DD and then some.

I haven't had to do my pads yet, but from reading around here people really like the stock pads.

Ceramic pads in my experience are excellent, good, feel, low dusting, good pedal modulation, and high resistence to fade, but can be hard on your rotors and shorten their life.

An aftermarket brand that also comes up here that are cheaper than stock and good for the street are Mintex Red Box pads. I've run them on other cars and been very happy with them.

Good luck!
Andy

Short answer, stay with stock. A lot of members buy performance pads only to realize that they squeal and take a long time to warm up. For example, if you stomp on pagid oranges first thing in the morning during cold weather, you will find your car continuing to move and may hit the person in front of you. Performance shops can tell you some real horror stories. My 2cents.
