Do a search for various reviews. Personally, I am against all "open" intakes, since they expose the engine to debris. The minimal performance gain and "cool" sound isn't worth the price of an engine in my opinion. Others will disagree that they won't harm your engine. My 2cents.

I have one installed in my99. I did not use the K&N filter, I opted for a AEM Dryfilter to prevent any MAF issues. The AEM filters just about everything and is comparable to OEM.

I personally like it. Just watch for the rain. we don't have much here in SoCal. We did have some last week, I had no issues.

I have one on my MY99 with no issues.......I do however, cover the filter
with a towell when at the carwash....
