They fixed it today. I asked about the clutch parts and they said they looked good. They did quote me much higher to replace parts than I expected, so I just had 'em fix the RMS only. I am a little upset only because my car has been so perfect. I just hope the RMS is 'no big deal' like we have learned and that they've learned to fix it well these days.

Just glad to have that behind me. Now let's pray for this being a 1 time only thing! (or maybe 3 times at least for the lemon law lol... kidding!)

Can't wait to track it at TWS in a couple of weeks!

 

Another case of RMS, its unreal, a friend of mine has had two so far in his 01 996 C2.

 

Supposedly they don't do it more than once now. We'll see!
3 is a lemon in Texas.

Rear Main Seal. It seals around the rear of the crankshaft, a big leak might damage a clutch. Typically presents with a few drops of oil on the garage floor.
