I do this. I don't see why others wouldnt. What angers me even more is when i go out of my way to park in the rear of the parking lot, only to have someone park right next to my car despite the fact there are 30 empty spots to the left or right of my car. Everyone says im too ****, but i can't help it. I work hard for my stuff and i like to protect it from soccor moms and asshats

My father did once tell me if you're too afraid of having something you own get damaged... you're not ready for it.

I guess that's why my father, even at his age, can let it go when my mom plows their brand new Merc up the curb.

Thank god it's been ages since I lived at home, I think EVEN I would have freaked...

i dont think that i agree. if i buy something nice, why should somebody put a door ding in it? there is a difference between "ready for it" and "i like to take care of things i own because i worked hard for them". i am not this way with cars. its everything: my cell, my clothes, tools, laptop

how would you feel if somebody put a huge door ding that left a dent and scratched paint in your car? not very good i would guess.

also, (and this might sound a little crazy), i would rather total a car instead of getting a few door dings or a fender bender. you total a car, you get a new one. with door dings or painted fainders you kind of screwed.

but it would never be as good as original. and if an accident goes on your carfax, forget about selling your car for a good price.

Well, I guess all those damn Bimmer drivers really like to park next to our cars....

There were empty spots EVERYWHERE... yet he had to park next to me.
