That amber is inside the headlights. There is a tool that came with your set (same as your oil, I believe) and take out the side liner of the trunk. Insert the tool in the hole and crank it. It should start to move by itself, be careful not to drop the lights.
To remove the amber plastic, you need a sodering iron and start chipping away at it in small chunks. Use Aluminum foil to protect the side of the light socket hole from the sodering iron. Once it is all gone, use silver colored amber lights.
I know its not very descriptive, but I hope it helps.
