Very nice job on the calipers!!!
Thanks!!!! i cant wait to get some pics of this thing when those babies are all wrapped in rubber . I forgot to post up pics of the calipers when i was done, that was a nightmare project. I did one complete paint job and i didnt get complete coverage so i tried to touch it up with a little yellow touch up paint....bad idea when i sprayed it with clear the whole thing went CRAZY...yada yada yada i had to get out the sand paper and start completely over (no clear coat for round 2 ). Anway, i love them now and they really set the car off, especially with dark ssr's

.............

Quit making fun of my puny floor jack .

i always use floor stands/jacks, but that jack just happened to be right there at the time. And the car was only lifted for 10 minutes TOPS!!! I've changed many of tire with a crappy catipilliar gear jack (like the one we got from porsche). Just dont crawl under your car . If i was going to have it up for ANY extended period of time i always use jack stands in all four corners...but for a simple 10 minute test fit it wasnt necessary

When using clearcoat (any anything mind you), the part must dry for at least 24hrs otherwise the clear will wrinkle the finish. I used high temp clear on mine without issues (48 hour dry).

ps: mine are yellow too.

Redridge-
The subwoofer system is nearing completion. I ran into a little sanfu with that also. It was so stupid i think i may even leave the details out, but it involves me frying a $1300 amplifer and putting me 3 weeks behind finishing up the audio project. I got a whole slew of pics to post up when i get the project a little more under control. I will tell ya though, i decided against silver paint and went with black vinyl....it looks GREAT!!!

Zdr2k-
I did actually let it dry for over a week. I think it had something to do with using two different types of paint. It was stupid but i was in a pinch. I actually bought high temp clear myself. I've heard this stuff is plenty durable on its own, so i opted against it...hopefully that wasnt a bad decision

you will

More good news today. I mentioned earlier that they never sent me the origional SSR center caps. Well i stopped up to discount tire today and they handed me 4 brand new center caps from PORSCHE!!! they were factory center caps painted to match my wheels?!? i'm not sure exactly what happened, but i'm pretty sure i wasnt supposed to get porsche emblem center caps for free

it's a good day
