Whom ever sells i-forged rims....Hupcentric wheels are designed specifically for your car. If not, they're universal and may fit other cars with simular bolt patterns etc and thus need the adapter. Or they fit your car perfectly and are bent or out of round....

may need to contact, iforged. shims are made from steel so you will need to ask you local wheel shop. real cheap. if incase they can not make you or find you a steel shim, you can also ask a machine shop. you may need to send your wheels back to have them bored so a machine shop can make you an aluminum hubcentric.

If all else fails with the wheels, there's a very slim chance a rotor is unbalanced. FWIW

Finally found out from the dealer, wheels aren't hubcentric... I called Iforged and their service sucks *****, basically to the tune of it's your problem, call a tire shop or machine shop and get it done. You would think that wheels would be made specific to a car would fit perfectly. So I guess it's off to a machine shop I go. any ideas how much this would cost??

Can't be more than a couple hundred. Jeez, I was seriously considering these wheels. Second thing I heard about them now. But they still look gorgeous!

i suggest finding out the exact bore diameter of the wheel and ask the porsche dealer/service for the hub diameter size of the 996. if it is only off by 2mm i know you can find some out there. must be steel, aluminum will just obliterate. probably about $15-20 each. if it is more than that than you may have to bore out the wheel and fit aluminum ones, but try not to go this route. go to a wheel shop and ask if they can give you the number to a wheel spacer/adapter company.

btw if a machine shop makes them for you they should not be more than $40 each otherwise they are jacking you. honestly speaking they should only charge about 20 a pop.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with buying the wheels. That sucks how some guys that join this board are not very honest in selling stuff.

fyi - My buddy just had his rims machined by the same company that handles HRE's, and it was really cheap. Just make sure whatever machine shop you goto has a good reputation.

Machine shops can also make some custom spacers if you need them, which usually run around $20 a piece. The only thing is that some machine shops don't sell the studs (bolts) for the spacers, so you may have to pick those up on your own. You can buy them directly from ARP (stud manufacturer) no problem as long as you find out the measurement you need.

I-forged wheels are very popular because they are basically HRE's for a little less cash. But they are also getting so much business that they can't keep up, thus they don't have the best customer service. As you know, I just picked up a set for my brother, and it took over 4 months to get them. The i-forged wheels do look really nice though.

side note: I was also told that I-forged was in the process of expanding their production. So supposedly now new wheel orders should now only take 4-5 weeks. We'll see...
