I have heard PSE, it sounds like a "Quite Fabspeed-By Pass Pipes". The only thing that came close to Tubi sound that WOW'd me was, these Modified Stock Mufflers by my local Dealer "Pfaff Porsche"... What they do is open up the mufflers and mess around a bit inside, re-route things and ofcourse add the by-pass pipes... but the sound was just WOW... much better and meaner than PSE...

Benjamin Choi is infamous around these parts
it's a tired exercise to try and determine which exhaust sounds "better" to you based on internet vids. it's like looking at a pic of a pair of pants and saying those will fit great on me regardless of whehter u know the size or not

the one and only way is to hear it in person...PSE baby

okay. here's my conclusion...

after my 3rd day with my tubi, I LOVE THEM.. THEY ARE F*KING AMAZING!!! it gives my 4S an entire new imagine.. before it was always lurking under the image of the turbo, but with the TUBIS.. oh man.. it sounds soooooooooo mean... the sound is just ridculous! the best mod for any NA car there is... i have a few vids that i can send to people... but i've concluded, the real experience of a TUBI can never be captured on video.. it's the inside noise, the ouside noise, just fiing AMAZING.. i don't even shift above 4th gear anymore! lol, i love them.. THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR MAKING ME GET THEM.. and if ANYBODY in the NYC area needs a ride, send me a PM, if i have time, we can meet up! CHEERS TO TUBIS!!!!!!!!

I also have this metal noise between 5k-7k, but not all the time (I do not know why). On the other hand, I had it at the time of the recording but one does not hear it on the file sound. I will like to hear hold it!!
My car is a carrera 4, 3.4L from 1999

Vince/Jason - The difference in the sounds could be the engine...ones a 3.4L and the other is a 3.6L. I have a 3.4L and I get that same 'metal' sound at around 6K that Vince is referring to. I thought it was more from aftermarket headers - but looknig at this post, maybe its the different engines?

vince&wlee

yeah, i get the metal noise only during hard acceleration during those RPMS... it seems that they are built into the tubis and you only hear it when the car is accelerating hard.. if you just bring the car slowly to redline, you won't hear the metal noise... I LOVE THE METAL NOISE!!

lets see if I can get a good sound clip, i'm going to try to record tonight!

zookie,
oh man, my 20 mile daily drive to work has maybe 15 underpasses.... i love the sound... i give it the car a little "umph" under the tunnels... i scare the **** out of other cars in the tunnel though.. hehehehhe
