That tire setup is wierd, 235/40 & 265/35 are a better match. The offsets looks pretty close on the inside of the wheel... I think you will end up with way to much space in the wheel well and not enough on the insides of the tire. Will look ugly!

The stock offsets are 50 front and 65 rear, its quite a bit of difference

That's the oem size for the Boxster S... slightly staggered overall diameter... hmm, thanks for the input!

Kevin H. in Atl is infamous around these parts
The front would be too far into the wheel well.
Many add spacers to the stock 996 18" 50mm offset reducing it to 45 or 43mm to bring the wheel out toward the fender lip. The 57mm offset would be 7mm further in than the stock 50mm offset.

The rear is too narrow. 996 18" wheel should be 10" width, minimum.
As with the front stock fitments, many add spacers to the stock 18"x10" 65mm offset rears. I use 15mm spacers to achieve a 50mm rear offset.

Also, the tire profiles have the larger aspect ratios (taller sidewalls) of the 987/997 series. These may not handle as well, as 996 suspensions were designed for smaller aspect ratio rubber.
