Join the club of wanting to know about modern day Porsche production, the last day will be when they actually stop not when they say they will stop, cant tell with them these days and what they say usually isnt true, 996TT first year was supposed to be 2,500 cars and ends up being 4,000, GT2 supposed to be 02-03 production then is still being built in 04, GT3RS in Europe was supposed to be around 200 cars ends up being over 500 cars, 996TT going to still be built in 05 along side the 997, know what I mean now?

Last production dates for the C4S in the current 996 platform configuration are June/July '04 for the '04 model year, and from what I know, June/July '05 for next year.

The story is that the C4S Cab and Turbo Cab are still going to be made on the same body style right alongside the new 997 Coupe, for the '05 model years.

Not sure about the C4S Coupe. Ask a dealer.

I heard that they will be produced for another year and a half and sold alongside the 997. Just out of shear curiosity, what is the attraction to having one that is ordered the "last minute" ? It would seem that if you want the car you shouldn't take a chance on ordering it when there is a possibility that production may end. Your dealer will likely have more accurate information than the what I have offered you hear.
