I am curious is the C4S (02 and above) is much of an "improvement" from the 99 C2. I know it is AWD and has the 3.6 but do they wash each other out due to the extra wieght etc?

 

You also get turbo suspension and turbo brakes in addition to the appearance updates. It's basically a turbo without the TT engine and side air scoops.

 

The two cars feel substantially different. It isn't so much a question of "improvment" but rather which car you prefer. Do you like light and flickable or secure and planted?

My 01 C4 seems quicker and more nimble than my 04 C4s Cab, but I only have about 3K miles on the 04 and the 01 has 52K miles on it.

However, the 04 C4s is such an improvement in interior quality and the wide body is just awesome.
