in your opinions what is better, a top mounted Short shift kit or an under carriage short shift kit? what are the pros and cons of both?

Top mount. Easy to put in, lowers the height of the shift lever and the new heavier leaver gives a more positive throw.

Ssk

I had a 2004 with an under car kit and it was very smooth during shifting as it was stock. I then had a 04 TT cab and did the top mount and it did shorten the throw, but it was very notchy and not that smooth. Although the top mount kit is quite a bit cheaper.................................
