+1 on the Fabspeeds. I've had them for about 2 years now. Love the sound, not too loud with no resonance. (stock cats, stock headers, K&N intake).

just installed mine and i am not very satisfied. I am sure something is wrong with it... it sounds more muffled than my stock exhaust. What do i do?

I also just recently put on Fab mufflers. I am a little disappointed, not loud enough for me. The factory exhaust on my VW R32 is louder.

ya but i'm sure something is wrong with mine... it sounds nothing like their promo video. I hate it. I have 5 of my cousins that have 911's and were about to order fabspeed mufflers with me but chose to wait to hear mine first... now they're laughing at me! I was their guinea pig... i sent an email to fabspeed i hope i get a good reply!

Hey Roc - Well this is what Fabspeed's solution to my complaint is :"If you would like it louder here is what you have to do. Just drive the car hard and the packing will burn-out and break down the car will get louder. Another option is getting a set of sports racing catalytic converters and this adds +14HP and makes the car sportier and louder and more aggressive."

What do you think?

Oh and i also ended up buying the Evoms Air kit and their installation manual has nothing to do with what they sent. I have missing bolts, extra brackets, missing screws... this sh*t is crazy... I'm used to working and living with 3rd world country incompetence! This is just worse.

I agree with Fabspeed's reply on the mufflers. With any brand new muffler there is a break-in period.

If you want loud, immediately out of the box, you need to go with something along the lines of their by-pass pipes, which eliminate the mufflers all together.

I have several different exhausts (Fabspeed, GHL, M&K and B&B) on all of my 911's and each one took some time to come close to what the respective manufacturer's sound clips showed. Even then, alot of the sound you get in person, is totally different from what you hear online.

Good luck...and heck, the positive here is that you have an excuse for some spirited runs in the 996!
