What MPG do you get in your 996 N/A?
You need to add some mods to increase you mpg. Window tint is worth 1mpg, Bumper Plugs gets you 2 mpg. The best is an MP 3 player it's worth 3 mpg. And if you can find any space tape from the 70's it's worth 5 mpg.
Last three tanks, close to 600 miles, about 50/50 highway/city, and also 1 day of autocrossing (12 runs of 67 second track), I have 16.3 mpg on the computer.
I did a run of max mpg for a tank, doing my normal driving (no autocross, no long freeway trips), managed to hit 22 mpg across 200 miles.
Normally I run at around 18-19 mpg, and I hit it pretty hard whenever it's safe. I'm very impressed with the fuel efficiency of this car.
Completely stock 2003 996 C2.

So I only get 13.9 mpg avg with my daily stop-go town driving, and everyone else is getting such higher numbers?
My engine checks out 100% ok and I've got 29k miles on it.
sycarrera that sounds about right to me, based on what I'm seeing. I'm about 95/5 as well.
I do have a heavy foot light to light- In comparison my 330i was averaging 11+ mpg... pcar is slightly better
