Does Porsche Leasing Negotiate Payoff at Middle Lease
Any of you had luck with this. I owe 63,500 on my 02 996 and want to buy it outright. Do you think they will negotiate at all (32 months on the lease left) or am I just wasting my time

I have heard ( from comments on the Porsche Pete Boxster Board) that they are not very willing to negotiate unless you are possibly talking to a dealer about getting another Porsche.
But here is something to consider. Living in CA you are going to have to pay sales tax on the buyout amount. Assuming $63.5 at 8% that is $5,080. Let's assume at the end of your lease your residual is $40K and you decide to dump it, you will never pay the $3,200 in sales tax on the residual amount, but if you buy it today and trade it in in 2 years, CA doesn't provide for any credit on sales tax. I LOVE this state..
