EVO supercharger question for 996

I have a 2001 C2 996 cab with almost everything bolt on available to gain power including RSS phelum, Cargraphic headers, boxes, cats, and chip. I m seriously considering the EVO supercharge kit.Does anyone have one on their car that can provide any positive/negative info, price installed, and what company installed it? Also I m in the NJ, can you recommend a shop that does the install and them on a regular basis near me. Not Brandywine Porsche

Thanks,
Mike

Check out AWE Tuning in Willow Grove, PA. They've done a couple so far. I think its about 18 hours labor. Something like that.

positives:
oem TT power in a lightweight (relative to the TT) chassis
reliable

negative:
not CARB legal

i would do it again in a heartbeat. if a TT and a 996+SC were in the same price range i would go for the TT. i got my car for 38K 5 years ago when TT prices were in the high 90s. did it make sense then, monetarily? hell yes! these days TT prices are still in the 70~80s... now you can get a 996 for low 30s, mid 20s. slap on a SC + labour for 12K and you are still nowhere near TT prices. if you have the money then it makes sense to go for a TT. if you gotta make do with what you got, then the SC is a good option.

Short of supercharging, bolt on mods on a NA car are a waste of money imo. The SC will add power....and kill your resale. Personally, I would take the 15 grand as a deposit on a TT (993,996,997) and sell/trade your present car. You'll be money ahead in the long run. When all the smoke clears , oem turbo forced induction is the way to go, gt1 block and all. jmo boys, been there, done that, got a TT now.
