In the last few weeks, this site has gotten painfully slow. I for one would be more than happy to become a "contributing member" (as other sites have) if this would fix the problem--and I'm sure I'm not alone.

This is a great resource, but something needs to be fixed. One suggestion is to make the site less graphic-intensive (or get more powerful servers) because you can watch the count of items slowly loading at the bottom of the page...

The site has been very slow for me as well. The big thing has been the pictures loading. I get the text fine, but even the pics on the front page (telling if there are threads I haven't read) or smilies are loading extremely slow. The banner also has lots of pictures, as does the sponsors bar. Maybe a reduction in some of the pictures that everyone sees everyday. Just a suggestion.

Glad to hear it isn't just me. I bought and new lap top for work and thought it may have something to do with that. At least it works okay at home!
