Has anybody gotten a ticket or seen a cop use X-Band Radar in the L.A. region? How about anywhere in California or Nevada?
I have a SRX and I am going to program it to ignore X-Band.

 

Nope, never... I've got it disabled on my V1 and have never had an issue.

 

That's very interesting. Here on Long Island, it seems police for all the villages and towns use old-fashioned X band exclusively. County highway patrol and state troopers use laser almost exclusively. I've also seen Massachusetts state troopers with X band, which probably makes them the only state troopers still using X band. I wish there were more cops still relying on X band -- you get such advance warning of their presence!

How long ago was it when you saw a MA trooper using X band? I live there and have only seen K and Ka.

 

Speedy G, it was last summer, mid July. I-91 southbound between S. Deerfield and Springfield. He was well hidden under an overpass in a marked Chevy Caprice (no kidding -- they stopped making those in 1996). Of course, he wasn't hidden from my radar detector -- I got a warning at least 1-2 miles away. X band is a joke if you have a radar detector.
